Colour fun walk in Scottburgh raises cancer awareness

It was all about community spirit and hope, said event organiser Lorna Thomson.

Scottburgh was filled with smiles, positive energy and a whole lot of pink and blue at the Colour Fun Walk for breast cancer awareness on Sunday.

It’s all about having fun.

The event took place on Marine Terrace and consisted of a scenic beach walk.

Participants incorporated pink and blue in their outfits and had the opportunity to adorn themselves in these colours with coloured powders at the start of the walk.

Event organiser Lorna Thomson said that the walk was a resounding success showing community spirit and hope.

“As a cancer conqueror of 18 years and currently facing another battle with a new cancer diagnosis, I was deeply moved by the turnout and the stories shared by participants,” she said.
