Hlengiwe Shebi of Cabhane in Mtwalume is blaming Sizwe Lushaba for the disappearance of her daughter, Nonhlanhla Shebi (34).
According to Shebi, her daughter went missing after she allegedly had a fight with Lushaba at their home, where she lives with him and their two children.
Shebi said her daughter was last seen on May 15.
“I have opened a missing person’s report at Hibberdene police station. Lushaba still has my daughter’s phone and when you call, he answers. He is the last person to see her before her disappearance.”

Meanwhile, Lushaba did not dispute that he had a fight with Nonhlanhla on that night she disappeared.
He said she ran out of the house leaving her phone behind, and he has no idea of her whereabouts.
“I have been looking for her. This is not the first time she has disappeared, but I usually find her at the neighbours. She has had spiritual attacks before, and on one occasion I found her in a stream, not too far from where we live. It’s unfortunate that this time we had a fight and she ran away and I have not found her.”
Lushaba said he is worried about her. “Our children are unable to concentrate in school. They ask me about their mother every day, and I have no answer.”
According to Saps Ugu District Communication, a missing person’s report has been opened for investigation.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Vukani Nombika can be contacted at Saps Hibberdene on 083 3407986.
