Bendigo Conservancy will host a fascinating presentation by local birder Chris Mathews at Mbango Retirement Village Hall on July 28, from 14:00 to 16:30.
Mathews will share highlights from a 27-day 4×4 birding expedition through Botswana and Namibia undertaken with a group of ornithologists.
The trip recorded 326 bird species, including 12 of Namibia’s 13 endemic species, and memorable wildlife sightings such as a herd of more than 1 000 zebra.
Part of the journey was guided by renowned Namibian birding expert and author Eckart Demasius.
Entrance costs R60 for adults and R50 for pensioners and scholars, which includes tea, coffee and a cookie.
Bookings can be made with Dee on 071 8662129.
