5 dead in accident at Braemar, South Coast

Five deceased after vehicle rolls – R612 Braemar, KZN South Coast
Five people died and one was injured in a motor vehicle accident on the R612 near Braemar on the KZN South Coast last night.
According to IPSS Medical Rescue, paramedics were faced with an horrific scene.
“A light motor vehicle travelling on an adjacent road had rolled down an embankment and came to rest on the R612,” said Kelsey-Mae Meyrick of IPSS.
“Five of the six occupants were ejected from the vehicle and sadly sustained fatal injuries. One occupant, a back seat passenger, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by EMRS.”
The scene was handed over to Saps for further investigation into the cause of the accident.
