13 injured in N2 rollover near Paddock
One patient was treated for critical chest and head injuries.
A serious rollover on the N2 outside Paddock left 13 people injured yesterday (August 8) after a bakkie carrying passengers lost control and overturned.
KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service’s medical team responded to the crash at about 10:30.
On arrival, Advanced Paramedics found 13 patients requiring urgent medical attention.
One patient sustained critical chest and head injuries, while nine others suffered serious injuries. Three patients sustained minor injuries.
The medical team stabilised all of the injured patients at the scene before they were transported to various hospitals for further specialised treatment.
The crash resulted in a one-lane closure, with the scene remaining active for about two hours.
The Saps and Fire Department assisted emergency medical teams at the scene.
The circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation by local authorities.
