The Hibiscus Coast Navaratri Committee invites the community and devotion-seekers from across the region to unite in spiritual reverence and celebration during the auspicious festival of Navaratri.

This year’s observance will take place from October 11 to October 19, at the Port Shepstone Arya Samaj Hall on Andreason Street. Puja and festivities commence daily at 18:00 on weekdays and 14:30 on weekends.

The daily puja and sacred ceremonies will be officiated by Archarya Utkarsh Ramsharan Chaturvedi, India. Attendees will experience the daily recitation of the 13 Chapters of the sacred Devi Mahatmyam, alongside the Mahayag. Every evening, devotional bhajans and spiritual discourses will fill the hall, followed by supper and Mahaprasadam served daily.

Special highlight events and key dates are as follows: October 17 Kirtan Puja conducted by Vikesh Moonilal. October 18 Kanya Puja honoring young girls as manifestations of the divine. October 19 special rose ceremony, featuring a sacred offering of 108 roses to Mata Di. October 20 Visarjan ceremony concluding the festival period.

The Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir (Sugar Mill Road) will observe its Navaratri from October 11 to October 20. Weekday prayer starts at 18:00 and weekends at 15:00. On October 17 kistan will be done by Sheppie Nagara, on Kanya Puja on October 18 and Vijayadashami on October 20 at 09:30.
