Bendigo Conservancy invites bird lovers and nature enthusiasts to a full day of birding, talks and socialising with expert birder Allan McLennan on October 18.

The event, titled A Wonderful Day of Birding, will be held at the Umzumbe Farmers’ Association hall.

Allan will lead the programme, which includes birding in the UFA grounds, a talk on bird reproduction, plus plenty of time for visitors to relax and socialise.

The day starts early, and places are limited.

Visitors are asked to bring their own braai meat, plate, eating utensils and drinks. Simple salads and rolls will be supplied.

Soft animal toys and beach bio handbooks will also be available for sale, while donations to Bendigo Conservancy are welcome.
