Creston welcomes Grade 8s into college phase
Learners experienced the traditional bell ringing and tie ceremony.
Creston welcomed the Grade 8s into the College Phase with the bell ringing and tie ceremony, followed by the official signing of the register last Monday.
This tradition, which has been in place since 2018, marks the start of their journey in the phase, with learners ringing the bell once at entry and twice at the end of their matric year.
The Group 4s have been learning about ‘my family’, sharing photos, playing with figurines, and discussing family activities like beach trips and visits to Kruger National Park.
The annual Junior Primary beach walk went ahead despite the weather, keeping everyone’s spirits high.
In sports news, congratulations to the newly appointed Senior Primary swimming captains and vice captains for Falcon and Eagle houses – Clara Verster (Falcon captain), Jordy Moses (Falcon vice-captain), Nate Beekman (Falcon captain), Brody Beekman (Falcon vice-captain), Zoe Engelbrecht (Eagle captain), Kate Chivers (Eagle vice-captain), Brode Krause (Eagle captain) and Blake Longhurst (Eagle vice-captain).
Learners also participated in the Ugu District swimming trials, inter-house galas, and cricket matches against Margate and Suid-Natal.
