Merlewood Primary spreads joy on Valentine’s

Grade 1-3 learners walked the runway with confidence and big smiles.

Love, laughter and loads of fun-filled the air as Merlewood Primary celebrated Valentine’s Day in style.

With exciting fundraising events planned for all grades, the day was a perfect mix of fashion, music and friendship.

Tiny supermodels took the stage. Grade 1-3 learners kicked off the celebrations with a modelling competition. Dressed in their best Valentine’s outfits – reds, pinks and sparkles everywhere – they walked the runway with confidence and big smiles.

The crowd cheered as each young model struck their best pose, showing off their creativity and style. It was a tough competition, but in the end, everyone was a winner, leaving the stage with sweet treats and happy memories.

Disco fever hit the senior learners. For Grade 4-8 learners, it was time to put on their dancing shoes!

The school hall was dazzling, and the latest hits played non-stop.

Friends danced together, showing off their best moves, while some even had friendly dance-offs! The energy was contagious, and no one wanted the day to end.

Beyond the glitz and glam, the day was a beautiful reminder of what Valentine’s Day is really about – kindness, friendship and spreading joy.
