The Bendigo Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association (covering the areas from Sea Park to Sunwich Port) has been informed that the municipal managers of both Hibiscus Coast and Ugu have been hard at work weeding out fraud and corruption and putting measures in place to bring those who are guilty or lazy to book.
Max Mbili, the HCM municipal manager, has given us time lately to meet and discuss measures to improve productivity in all his departments. His vision is impressive and contains many promises for a rosier future for all ratepayers. We back him all the way and thank him for the courage and enthusiasm he has.
Compared to a year ago, there are certainly a lot less complaints in the press regarding refuse removal, verge cutting and potholes. Although problems still exist, we believe the HCM has listened to ratepayers, and efforts are being made in the right direction.
We encourage them to continue and will give support where necessary.
