DEAR Editor:
The Proudly Scottburgh Forum last Sunday organised a clean-up of Scottburgh beach, from the Mpambayoni River up to Little Black Rock, with the aim of clearing the sugar cane which washed down the river at the end of last summer.

Richard Irwin and his team from R&M Construction were given permission by the municipality to take heavy duty vehicles onto the beach to clear the sugar cane and to rehabilitate the sand dunes, under the guidance of Barry James, a local conservationist.
Thank you to all involved – you have done the community proud!
