DEAR Editor,-
There is a huge water leak emanating from a burst pipe in the parking lot at Uvongo Spar, which has been there for weeks.
Nothing is being done about it and last week someone had placed a pole with stiped tape around it to warn motorists of the danger.

It is unbelievable that, during a water crisis like the one being experienced on the South Coast at the moment, clean potable water is running into the storm water drain.
It is unacceptable that some people have been without water for months, but Ugu Municipality does nothing to fix leaks.
It is also a slap in the face of ratepayers – paying month after month for services that they never receive.
Residents do not get rebates for water not used, even though taps are dry.
The water situation on the South Coast has become dire and something has to be done urgently.
If there is no immediate solution to the ongoing striking of workers, can Ugu Municipality not send inspectors or supervisors on a leak-finding exercise to identify and repair those at least?
That would definitely be a step in the right direction.
