OPINION: ‘Mall security saved the day’

I cannot thank the security guard enough for his honesty - it was a Godsend.

DEAR Editor:-

I went to Galleria Mall last week and on arriving back in Scottburgh, I realised my handbag was missing. Panic set in and I rushed back to the mall.

I parked in the same area as earlier and just as I was leaving the car, I bumped into a security guard and told him that I had lost my handbag.

He said that he’d found it in the trolley and had handed it into the mall’s security office. When I got my handbag back, everything was intact.

I sincerely thank the security guard for his honesty and was most grateful, as this has saved me many hours at home affairs, the bank and the licensing department.

The fact that I got my phone back, all my bank cards, ID document, driver’s licence and cash – it was a real Godsend. I cannot thank him enough.

My thanks to Galleria Mall as well.

With so much bad news around right now, I thought I would share my positive experience.

GRATEFUL RESIDENT

Scottburgh
