The leadership displayed by South Africa in the fight against the invisible enemy, Covid-19, is beyond description and praise. I salute South Africa.
However, in view of the fact that the Department of Health through its honorable minister, Dr Zweli Mkhize has made it very clear that people with chronic diseases are more vulnerable to Covid-19, I strongly believe and suggest that elderly persons who test positive for Covid-19 should not be isolated or quarantined but must be admitted to ICU straight away.
In my view, this will definitely flatten the curve.
I speak as an elderly person myself.
