DEAR Editor;
On the afternoon of August 11, I was taken by ambulance to Port Shepstone Regional Hospital casualty department with very high blood pressure and a pulse rate of 198.
The doctors and nursing staff immediately hooked me up to all the necessary machines and did everything possible to bring my blood pressure and pulse rate down.

They did numerous tests and were all very efficient, caring and friendly.
Eventually they managed to get it under control and I was monitored every hour throughout the night and was discharged the following morning once the doctors were satisfied.
As a patient, I received the most professional and excellent care from the doctors, sisters and nursing staff.
I would like to express my gratitude and sincere appreciation to Sister NE Mthiyane (professional nurse), Dr Declan Anamege and all the nursing staff who assisted in caring for me.
Thank you so much and may God bless you all abundantly.
WILL ONDERDELINDEN
