OPINION: ‘Pothole peril cannot be ignored any longer’

That’s right. It is not a new pothole. It has been there for months!

DEAR Editor;

A very serious accident will soon be the result of poor road maintenance.

Someone will likely be killed if the pothole, shown in the attached photographs, is not attended to urgently.

I am a Ramsgate property owner and therefore also a rate-payer; and I simply do not understand why this particular hazard (near the Waffle House) has not received the attention of the authorities during the past few months.

That’s right. It is not a new pothole. It has been there for months!

A vehicle hitting this 10cm deep killer could destroy its tyre and rim.

This pothole should have been repaired long ago and not left to become so deep.

And then it will probably lose control, hit the bridge and tumble into the river below.

Please… please do something before I write again and tell you that ‘I told you so’.
