OPINION: ‘Muslims wished well during Ramadan’

This year the month of Ramadan will again be observed under Covid-19 regulations .

DEAR Editor;

The ANC Lower South Coast leadership wishes the Muslim community well over the holy month of Ramadan.

The practices of Ramadan are meant to purify oneself from thoughts and deeds contrary to the Islamic faith.

To the Muslim community, Ramadan is a time of reflection and worship, as well as of compassion for those who are suffering.

As the ANC Lower South Coast we thank our Muslim community, as well as all religious groups, for their outstanding contributions of humanitarian support towards the welfare and well being of our local citizens, especially those who find themselves under severe stress during the pandemic.

This year the month of Ramadan will again be observed under Covid-19 regulations .
