OPINION: ‘How can we adhere to Covid-19 regulations without water?’

I urge you to read the complaints on Ugu complaints on Facebook.

DEAR Editor;

Mr President, we as residents of the Ugu District on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal wish to advise you that we cannot adhere to Covid-19 regulations and protocols as we are deprived of a basic human right of clean, safe water by this municipality.

Daily complaints from residents are blatantly ignored. Your minister of water affairs is fully aware of this problem and it seems that nobody cares.

With an expected third wave of this virus, we request that you give this matter your urgent attention as you are calling on everyone to assist in preventing this pandemic.

I urge you to read the complaints on Ugu complaints on Facebook.

Everyone is now using foul language to express their dissatisfaction with the poor service delivery.
