OPINION: ‘Muslim community eased fears and anxiety’

We were seen as one united front. These men were willing to give up their lives to save our community.

DEAR Editor;

Fear, anxiety and restlessness were part of our lives in the past few weeks. When all we felt was helplessness and fear, the Muslim community came to our aid.

As a resident of Ext 13, Dairy Road, Marburg, I would like to thank each and every person who worked tirelessly together with the Muslim community despite the bitter cold – these men stood and guarded our community.

We were seen as one united front. These men were willing to give up their lives to save our community.

We also appreciate the hampers for the community, as a result nobody went to bed hungry. Once again a huge thank you! May God bless you and your families.
