Tuning in: Potholes are a problem in Pennington

A mere tip of the iceberg. There are roads in Pennington that I will not travel along. My poor little car simply can’t cope.

The roads are in a dreadful condition. This is backed up by photos submitted by Pennington community members. The specific roads are Gumtree, Shad, Coral, Adrienne and Umdoni North.

A note from a local: “It is so sad to see how neglected KZN is in comparison to Cape Town. I lived in the Cape for many years and if we linked a photo of a pothole and its location and sent it via an online platform, it was fixed by the next day or at least a team set up to start repairs if it was a big job. Here in Pennington as in all the South Coast living areas there is no response to emails at all. Mr President, if you cannot help your people with basic human rights which we pay for monthly, how can you even try to justify being a man of your word. Please assign a competent and ethical municipality for your country.” -Tracy McPetrie.
