I think I have another job that I was not aware of.
My second calling might just be teaching. I don’t know if all parents have the same….. well I don’t want to call it a problem, but it’s a bit of a worry and can be distracting sometimes.
So my little man is now in grade one and he loves school so much, especially as he now attends everyday.
But woooooow the homework!
Yey those kids have so much work I feel like I’m actually teaching him everything, I know I’m not because most of the things he knows and talks about are not my teachings.

Now the problem starts when he tells me something and pronounces words differently (my gosh I’m actually laughing at myself).
Things are definitely not the same as before, the way he writes and the way he speaks and everything else that they learn at school.
This little boy is too clever, so last week we were arguing about a picture, he had to write the first letter of the word to identify it.
I thought it was a hut and he said it was an igloo, my oh my what the hell!
Turned out he was right, I’ve noticed a lot of good things that he has learnt at school, but yo! the homework is going to be the death of me (lol).
And funny enough while writing this I saw a post on Facebook – parents were complaining about how much homework they have to do for their kids.
As much as it is helping our kids and I don’t mind doing it, it can really get too much.
While at that, parents we have a big problem here (most parents think it’s normal and say I’ll get used to it) but I don’t know.
Is it really normal that they lose some of their uniform?
He lost one of his socks, I mean socks! why would anyone take off their school socks?
Not so long ago he lost his water bottle, he’s forgotten his school tie in the changing room.
It seems like he is still going to lose a of of things and I’ll just be replacing them.
Well, my immune system has let me down again, meaning I cannot get on with my usual day and have to nurse myself.
With this flu and my temperature going up and down all I want is to sleep.
But how do I do that because when he comes home from school first things first, I must check the homework.
I must say though I enjoy some of it and I also learn new things, just like I learnt the difference between a hut and an igloo.
