May Fair is around the corner, and huge thanks is extended to the Pennington Community Watch who under the chairmanship of Steve Leech, will oversee the gate and parking area.

The event is at the Pennington driving range on Sunday, May 1. Arena events include the fantastic scientist Dr G with his amazing tricks, line dancing to Zumba (all interactive), face painting, children’s races and games, MC Pat McKrill and his slithery friends, and a special appearance by Sharkie.

There will also be an art exhibition and an all-day Boxer dog show in a separate arena! There’ll be pet competitions (owner and dog look-alike), best dressed doggie, paintball shooting, jumping castle and parachute jump, Tommy the Train, cars, classic cars, 4×4 display, food and drink galore.

Cost is R50 per car (family) and R20 for two pensioners in a car, which includes parking in the field next to the range.

There will be security and a first aid station. This is a community event being organised with help from Umdoni and Widenham Retirement Villages. Nearly 100 stands offering a variety of wares have already been booked. If you’d like to join the throng of traders, contact Heather Butler on heathton@gmail.com or 076 5418610.
