OPINION: As fees go up, so potholes seem to increase
As the fees have been increased the condition of local roads has deteriorated exponentially.
A thought crossed my mind (a short trip!) as I was in discussion with someone about road toll fees.
About a million years ago, we, the public, were told that a part of the toll fees would be used to maintain local roads.
As the fees have been increased the condition of local roads has deteriorated exponentially.
Is there a definite correlation between the fees and the size and number of potholes?
By the way, the hole at the side of the main road just south of Tyner’s bottle store in Shelly Beach has still not been attended to and the visitors are almost here. Oh, well!
