OPINION: Bendigo Road is in a sorry state
In some places I have to drive on the opposite side of the road to avoid the big potholes.
I am resident in Southport. I just want to ask if you can help me to place an letter in the newspaper about a badly damaged road.
I use Bendigo Road in Southport to get home on an almost daily basis. The road is really bad and has been like this since April 2022.
It has become worse and worse and is very difficult to drive on, especially when there is traffic and/or people walking on the road.
There are so many potholes. In some places I have to drive on the opposite side of the road to avoid the big potholes.
I have sent emails to the authorities with pictures, asking them to fix the road, but no answers have been forthcoming and the road is nowhere near to being fixed.
