My fellow South Africans. There is a saying that expounds the theory that, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. Do you not think, my fellow South Africans, that it is about time that our government treated us like educated adults and stop questioning our integrity as concerned citizens? Loadshedding is a headache. Loadshedding is not acceptable and should not be part of our daily lives.
Loadshedding should never have seen the light of day if those responsible for doing the jobs they were paid to do, did what they were handsomely paid to do.
These underperformers have never been hooked out of the woodwork and as far as we South Africans know, they might still be employed and continuing with their errant ways. Dear Mr President, your spin doctor did his very best to lay the ghosts of corruption to rest and assured us we would have reduced periods of loadshedding. Really? Pull the other one!
Here we look like the little Dutch boy running out of fingers with which to plug the holes in the dyke and keep the water from trickling in. After using his eight fingers and two thumbs he only has one pointy thing left to plug hole number eleven. Seems like that pointy thing is being taken as the symbol of what our government thinks of us fellow South Africans.
Do we not deserve more respect than appears to be being bandied around at the moment? Where is Batho Pele?
