It’s the first newspaper for November. As I type, it doesn’t feel like summer; it’s chilly and wet. Strangely enough, it’s quite normal for this time of the year.
Good luck to Grade 12 learners once again.
Hands of Hope is an NPO which assists underprivileged mothers and their babies by providing basic necessities that are invaluable to a baby’s well-being. Once the mother is expectant, she reaches out to the organisation for support and assistance, and before she is due to deliver, she is gifted a welcome baby pack.
When the baby is a month old, mother and baby are visited with another parcel of clothes from 0 to three months old, more nappies, toiletries and formula for babies who are not breastfed.
The organisation is reliant on donations, sponsorship and the kindheartedness of the community. For more information, contact Marika Bickerdike on 065 9443525 or Diane Saunders on 082 2917934.
