Working for yourself and working for someone else is not the same.
Would you rather deal with challenging clients who have no end to their demands, or live the eight to five lifestyle working for a company that’s not your own for the rest of your life?
When you work for yourself you are not tied down. Of course, there will be challenges, but those challenges are a reward in itself when you are your own boss.
Having your own business does more than allow you to make a contribution to the economy and society, it gives you freedom to live life on your own terms.
As cliché as this may sound, the eight to five rollercoaster is the matrix – a system of power you are trapped in, and the idea is to escape it through self-employment.
When you have your own hustle, you have freedom.
It doesn’t matter what industry you are a part of; when you look forward to Monday instead of wishing it was Friday, you know you have made it.
What you do not want to be early in the morning when you wake up, is miserable. I’ve been there, with two different companies I worked for. One a wholesale; the other a manufacturing. Both companies had management who saw people as something they could control; something they can push from pillar to post.
You can’t turn a blind eye to those in power who treat human beings as property they own. You can’t ignore the fact, that there are some managers who create an inferior-superior work space.
If you have ever worked for a company that pays, what some people might call peanuts, you would know that part of the job is to take nonsense from people. Why? Because you need the job, you need the money. The bills are not going to pay themselves.
However, you cannot work in a place where you are not valued and appreciated. You cannot work in a place where you are controlled and ridiculed. Interesting choice of words you are probably thinking. Well, this is what you will experience as a subordinate.
This is why self-employment is so important, because when you work for yourself you are not a slave to a company, or the system as a whole. You are free. You have control of your work, schedule, environment and career.
As a freelancer or small business owner, you will be building wealth for yourself rather than working for subjective managers, delegators or soul destroyers.
