Woman honoured for her positive influence

These are the words of Ashna Rughoober who was recently nominated as Influential Woman of the Year 2022 by Big M Productions.

The 28-year-old was recently honoured for her hard work, positive influence, and social progress she has made within her community at an awards ceremony held in Durban. The mother of one said being on the Influential Women of the Year stage was a stepping stone for her in terms of continuing inspiring, leading, and forging the way for other women.
“Sharing the stage with several women who were recognised for their perseverance and ability to make huge differences in their communities, is simply monumental,” said Rughoober.
She added that in a society that often pays lip service, being recognised for their inspiring work has given her more hope to continue building a better society.
Advising women, Rughoober said: “Take your failures and learn from them. It might be a difficult path, but one step at a time, we can change the world.”
Originally from Port Shepstone, Rughoober is based in Cool Air, Dalton in Durban. Also, Rughoober is the granddaughter of the popular Rambharos family of Louisiana.
