Actor bags favourite rising star award
In a recent statement CEO of MultiChoice South Africa, Nyiko Shiburi, said pulling the event together was an exciting experience, saying that it was all for a good cause.
“I was created to create.” These were the words of actor Kwenzokuhle Ngcobo after he won an award during the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards (DStvMVCA) held in Pretoria on Saturday.
Ngcobo who is originally from Izingolweni bagged an award in the Favourite Rising Star category. The actor who plays Qhawe Zulu on Showmax’s popular telenovela, The Wife was awarded by DStvMVCA for that role.
In the Favourite Rising Star category, Ngcobo competed against Mthwalume’s Hope Mbhele, Young Stunna, Uncle Vinny, and Daliwonga. Ngcobo gained popularity as Themba on etv’s Imbewu: The seed.
“I was created to create. Thank you so much to DStv and Mzansi Magic for the award. To my supporters and viewers, this would not have been possible without your votes and support, Ngiyabonga kakhulu (Thank you so much),” said Ngcobo.
