Soccer legend visits South Coast
Mark Anthony Fish visited the South Coast recently.
Retired South African footballer, Mark Anthony Fish, was on the South Coast over the weekend.
According to Tourism KZN, Fish was on the South Coast with Nhlanhla Brilliant Khuzwayo who is a South African retired international goalkeeper.
Tourism KZN said the two ‘legends’ were running a soccer clinic at Scottburgh Country Club on Saturday. The provincial tourism entity added that after the soccer clinic, Fish and Khuzwayo headed to the Oribi Gorge Wild 5 Extreme Adventures for the wild swing and ziplines.
Before coming to the South Coast the two former soccer stars brushed up on their history skills when they visited the Nelson Mandela Capture Site in Howick. Tourism KZN said their visit was ahead of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup 2022 taking place in Durban.
The Cup which started recently with a clash between Seychelles and Botswana at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
The finals of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup 2022 will be played on July 17.
According to organisers, it was the first time that fans were allowed into the stadium since the tournament was last played in Durban in 2019. Tickets have been free and will be free for fans throughout the tournament.
