Man charged with theft and robbery
Recovered items were confiscated by the police.
A 28-year-old man was recently arrested by Margate police on charges of house breaking, theft, and robbery.
Margate police spokesperson, Sergeant Sibu Ncane said Margate Saps recently conducted a suspect raid where a 28-year-old man was apprehended.
Ncane said the man was then found to be linked to a number of cases that occurred in Margate extension 7.
“He was charged for house breaking, theft, and robbery. He appeared on July 11 before the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court. The case reminded to July 20 in the same court for bail application. The recovered items were confiscated by police for further investigation,” said Ncane.
He added that Margate station commander, Brigadier William Slabbert commended the police for their hard work to ensure that the suspect is behind bars.
