Promoting love for mathematics
Learning maths does't necessarily have to be arduous.
In an attempt to improve pupils’ performance in mathematics, Vezubuhle Secondary School in Gamalakhe recently held a Maths Quiz for its Grade 10 pupils.
According to the principal of the school, Lulu Green, there were two groups of pupils that won the quiz.
Green said the competition was held to motivate pupils as well as to boost and promote their love for mathematics.
He added that the school intends to host the event every term for the benefit of the pupils.
“Vezubuhle Secondary School would like to thank Port Shepstone-based medical doctor, Dr Devan Appalraju for donating trophies and medals to the school for the Maths Quiz. This motivated the groups that won,” said Green.
