Albersville resident hopes to win R500 000
The third-year law student said that she would love nothing more than to walk away as the Season 10 winner.
Taryl Ogle of Albersville is part of the cast of the new season of Tropika Island of Treasure: All Stars, and hopes to win R500 000.
Ogle is one of 18 South Africans who will compete against a line-up of much-loved celebrities from the previous nine seasons of Tropika Island of Treasure.
Speaking to Fever, Ogle said she decided to enter the competition so that she could challenge herself beyond just testing her physical strength.
She said being on the show means that she would be tested mentally and physically.
“I would also get to travel which is also one of my favourite things to do, as well as gaining the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and of course, also get a shot at half a million rands,” she said.

The third-year law student said she would love nothing more than to walk away as the Season 10 winner. She added that words failed to describe the opportunity to compete in the competition not just to her, but also the people who believe in her.
The 28-year-old who has a keen passion for radio and television said she mostly hopes to walk away with friends that become family, new skills, and as a better person.
This year’s edition will be hosted by musician and actor, Anga Makubalo, well-known as NaakMusiq.
According to the organisers of Tropika Island of Treasure: All Stars, the broadcast date will likely be shared on SABC3 between September and December.
Clover Beverages Marketing Manager, Miantha Roux, said: “For its tenth season, there are 18 locals who have been selected to participate in the competition alongside the celebrity all-star cast. Launched in 2008, Tropika Island of Treasure has been growing in popularity as the hit reality show has taken audiences on island adventures from the Maldives to Zanzibar. As the first phase of the Tropika Island of Treasure’s tenth anniversary has drawn to a close, many shoppers and Tropika enthusiasts have walked away with incredible exciting prizes. As the countdown for the launch of the new season begins, audiences can look forward to seeing participants chosen from across the country battling it out for their spot on the island.”
