The African National Congress in the Tolomane Mnyayiza Region has welcomed and congratulated the new KwaZulu-Natal cabinet as announced by Premier, Nomusa Dube-Ncube.
Regional Secretary of the Tolomane Mnyayiza region, Xolani Luthuli said that the regional Executive Committee believes that the cabinet under the stewardship of Dube-Ncube will hasten the implementation of the resolutions of the recently held ANC provincial elective conference.
Luthuli said the conference was aimed at changing for the better the lives of the people of KZN.
“As this cabinet takes the baton from the previous cabinet, we strongly believe that there will be more progress towards the realisation of the National Democratic Society within the province of KZN. This cabinet will also surely work tirelessly to ensure advocating for and implementation of ANC’s policies aimed at mitigating the effects of triple challenges of poverty, unemployment, and inequality faced by our people in the province,” he said.
He added that the recently announced cabinet does not only display energetic, vibrant, and capable servicemen and servicewomen, but it also shows that their movement in the province regards women as equally capable as men and is also serious about the emancipation of women.
Luthuli said it is their commitment as the ANC Tolomane Mnyayiza Regional Executive Committee to support and work together with the cabinet to advance radical socio-economic transformation together with the objectives of the Freedom Charter.
“And thereby creating a democratic, non-racial, non-sexist and prosperous society,” said Luthuli.
