Music academy creates safe space for youth to grow and thrive

Music gives these young people a voice and a safe place to grow.

Genesis Music Academy is making a meaningful difference in communities across Marburg, Murchison, and Boboyi by providing a safe and creative space where children and young people can develop musical skills and personal confidence.

Located in areas facing significant socio-economic challenges, the academy offers structured music lessons and mentorship aimed at guiding youth toward positive life choices.

Through music education, students are encouraged to express themselves, build discipline and discover their potential.

Genesis says the music serves as a powerful tool for healing and connection.

It provides a healthy outlet for dealing with aggression, loss and emotional struggles while fostering a sense of belonging and community.

The academy equips and trains musicians and singers of all ages, empowering them to use their talents in churches and community spaces while contributing positively to their surroundings.

By keeping young people engaged in meaningful activities, the initiative helps steer them away from harmful influences such as substance abuse and crime, while nurturing creativity and purpose.
