Get your tekkies on as Durban Spar Women’s Challenge returns

Entries are open for the popular 10km and 5km race set to bring energy, colour and celebration to Durban this June.

Runners and walkers are being encouraged to lace up their tekkies for this year’s Durban Spar Women’s 10/5km Challenge, taking place on Sunday, June 28, under the theme #CelebrateHer.

Race director Brad Glasspoole said the event is the perfect event for groups to come together and enjoy a fun team experience.

“This is a great opportunity for colleagues, clubs, relatives and schools to take part as a team,” he said.

Participants are encouraged to show their team spirit by dressing up, wearing matching outfits, and adding to the festive atmosphere by walking, running, dancing or singing along the route.

Bulk entries for groups of 10 or more close at midnight on Friday, June 12, while individual online entries close at midnight on Monday, June 22.

Team coordinators must complete bulk entries online via the event portal by selecting the bulk entry option.

A dedicated collection day for bulk entries has been arranged for Thursday, June 25, when team leaders can collect race packs for their groups.
