Bizana artist set to release more songs

Sanele Mchunu 'Sayder M' is currently working on his upcoming EP titled Ipasi Nespesheni, set for release later this year.

Up and coming singer, Sanele Mchunu ‘Sayder M’ from Didi township in Bizana, is making his mark in the music industry.

Sayder M’s manager Mthobisi Bikiza Jali Mgwili said the musician’s journey reflects the reality faced by many South African youths. He lost his parents at a young age, struggled to complete school, and survived through various odd jobs and hustles.

“Through every challenge, music remained his refuge and his voice. From singing in church choirs to forming music groups with friends, Sayder M continuously nurtured his passion for storytelling through sound,” said Mgwili.

Sayder M’s latest single, Umhobe Westrato, featuring acclaimed South African rapper Zakwe draws inspiration from everyday struggles and pays tribute to ordinary people fighting to survive and succeed against all odds.

He is currently working on his upcoming EP titled Ipasi Nespesheni, set for release later this year. “The project blends Afro-pop, Soul, Gospel, and Hip Hop influences. It’s all uniquely brewed through Sayder M’s distinctive voice and heartfelt storytelling,” said Mgwili.

In 2025, Sayder M made the decision to pursue music professionally and partnered with Breakbeats, an independent record label committed to developing authentic African talent. Together, they have released four singles namely, Tsiki, Umhobe Westrato, Ekhusini and Umhobe Westrato Remix featuring Zakwe.
