Scotties runners tackle iconic trails

Well done to all participants.

A number of Scottburgh athletes were part of the recent Sani Stagger Road/Trail Run.

The Stagger Trail includes a number of the most iconic trails in the surrounding Maloti Drakensberg World Heritage Site.

Road runners Bianca Anderson (left) and Henriette Niemandt.

Both routes are characterised by genuine mountain trails, with occasional technical sections and some challenging climbs, which make for a truly authentic trail running experience.

For the Sani Stagger Down Run 21.1km, Bianca Anderson completed in a time of 3:26:38, and Henriette Niemandt (her first half marathon) completed in 04:26:55.

Well done to Vanessa Hattingh, who did the 21km trail in 05:10:01.

A big round of applause for the athletes who participated in the Stagger Trail 38km. They are Bianca Miller with a time of 07:35:08 and Jacques Vriese in 07:35:09.

Vanessa Hattingh after a great race.
