Juniors shine at Konrad’s Margate golf clinic

Laughter, camaraderie, and enthusiasm filled the air, making it a truly memorable occasion.

Junior golfers had a day to remember at Margate Country Club in December, spending time with former local and now world-travelled golf pro Adrian Konrad.

It was an incredible opportunity for the youngsters to spend time with Adrian and he spent time with the juniors, working on essential skills like driving, chipping, and putting.

In a delightful twist, Carla from the pro shop revealed she knew Adrian from surfing, never suspecting he was a professional golfer.

During a brainstorming session on ways to engage juniors at the club, someone suggested Adrian as the perfect coach due to his talent and knack for teaching young players.

One thing led to another, and the first junior open clinic was born.

The turnout was fantastic, with 27 juniors showing up to hone their skills and enjoy a day filled with fun and learning.

The weather played its part, ensuring the event was as smooth as the greens. Laughter, camaraderie, and enthusiasm filled the air, making it a truly memorable occasion.
