SOUTHBROOM
Year three of the Hibiscus Brokers’ SuperTrips got off to an exciting start on January 19 with the addition of Banners Rest to the four existing participants, extending the field to 60 teams of three.
Each team member plays a set of six ends as lead, second and skip, giving valuable experience to newer players as well as ringing the changes for whole teams.
Winners were as follows:
Winner at Southbroom were last year’s champions Walking on Water, comprising Cleve and Julie Walker, with Tony Waters.
At Margate, it was the Smoothies who cleaned up, namely Hylton Cannon, Ian Hunter and Des Evans.
