Gavin ‘Big Fish’ Sole (Southbroom GC) was back on the mid-amateur podium at Royal Durban Golf Club recently, sharing the win on 72 with Kalvin van Rensburg (Toti).
There was no time for a playoff and the countout isn’t used.
In third place were Grant Olivier (Drak Gardens) and Gitesh Maharaj (Toti) one shot behind.
B-division winner was Denzel Ramiah on 42 points.
Next mid-am monthly game is at Umdoni Park on March 8.
The KZN mid-amateur committee for the following year has been elected.
The committee is as follows: Mark Olivier (chairperson), Jean-Marc Bouic (treasurer), Gavin Sole (fixtures), Greg Upneck (scoring) and Grant Olivier (rankings).
