Winter cricket on the go

This tournament is expected to be hotly contested.

Local cricketers have barely had a chance to catch their breath after the conclusion of the Autumn 100, won by Trophy Fighters, before the start of the exciting Winter League.

Not that they mind, of course.

Action got going recently, with five matches taking place.

The stakes are much higher for this tournament, which is not restricted to only local teams.

There’s a handsome cash prize on offer, as well as the opportunity to play the final at Kingsmead on August 23.

Teams have been split into three pools, with the Gujurat Warriors putting together a formidable outfit that will take some beating.
