Juniors set winter cricket alight

The tournament has gotten off to a rollicking start.

Junior cricket comes alive on the South Coast during winter.

Four matches have been played with plenty to come in the Southern KZN Junior Winter Festival currently on the go.

Melokuhle Khanyile (Sluipskutters) and Haffiya Ebrahim (CMCA Jaguars) lit things up with bat, with Melokuhle making 113 not out against the Chargers.

Zibu Malamba in fine form for Port Shepstone Hub. PLEASE CROP OUT WICKEY

Haffiya was three runs short, finishing on 97 not out. No doubt, she will make many hundreds in the future.

The Suleman sisters Saffiyah and Laaiqah (both Chargers), as did Zibu Malamba (Port Shepstone Hub) with both bat and ball.

These teams are battling it out for B division honours.

The A division comprises Snipers, Challengers and CMCA, which should be hotly contested.

Final day is at Port Shepstone Country Club on Saturday, July 4.
