Due to popular demand, uShaka Marine World will once again be hosting their Annual World Chess Carnival on September 15th, in partnership with the KZN Chess Academy.

So, if you enjoy an exciting battle of the minds, realize that every move is important, a lapse of concentration even for a moment may cost you the game, know that you cannot pawn off your failures on others, and ultimately no one can claim credit for your win, then this tournament is for you.
Dress code on the day is strictly black and white for the participants. A R50 registration fee is to be paid on the day and registration takes place between 8am and 9.30am. The carnival is free for spectators.

There are great cash prizes up for grabs, R1500 for 1st place, R1000 for the runner up and R500 for 3rd place as well as medals, uShaka Marine tickets and hampers. There are only 88 entries available so book now to avoid disappointment.
Since uShaka Marine World is the coolest place to be, you can expect this event to be filled with further unlimited fun, featuring face painting, jugglers, stilt walkers, dance offs, photo opportunities, entertainment from the uShaka Marine World Ocean Warriors mascot and the in house DJ.
So come on down to uShaka Marine Worlds Village Walk Food Court and get playing the most strategic game in the world.
