Concrete light pillars – where does the madness end?
How long do we have to wait before someone catches these copper thieves?

EDITOR – Two more concrete pillars along the road leading to the Amanzimtoti Golf Club have been smashed and the lights stolen.
That brings the total to seven with about five to go.
How long do we have to wait before someone catches these copper thieves?
The cost of installing the lights along this road must have cost a million and the copper must have been sold for scrap to some dealer for less than R50,000. It would pay us in the long run to get a security company to patrol this road for us on a nightly basis if we want the situation to improve.
We must take action ourselves before all the lights are destroyed and all that remains are concrete stumps. Is that what we want?
