Lions ‘models’ make club’s 38th year
THE Lions Club of Kingsburgh celebrated its 38th birthday with a luncheon on 1 October and some members 'modelled' beanies and scarves knitted for the club's next project.
Plans are to distribute scarves and beanies, along with an Easter egg to hundreds of children ranging from tots to teens in the community next Easter.
In the past the club has handed out only Easter eggs, but have now taken on the task to give more to needy children. It is looking for donations of scarves, beanies or wool. In the past the public has generously donated towards the club’s other projects, including its ‘Winter Warmth’ campaign.
