Help wrap trees in Beach Road

“Members of the public who would like to get involved and volunteer an hour of their time are welcome to join us in front of the Toti Tourism offices, next to Spur at 8am,” said SCTT chairman, Jacques van Schalkwyk.

The idea is to improve on the Christmas lights that get put up in along Beach Road during the festive season by wrapping the trees in colourful material and fairy lights. Local NPOs, NGOs, schools and other civic organisations are urged to get involved in the project and ‘rent’ a tree, which can be wrapped in their colours.

“We look forward to seeing the public come out in their numbers to do their bit in making a difference in our community.”
