PURR-FECT Rescued Cats in Athlone Park desperately needs the public's help to feed over 120 cats and five dogs in its care.

“I need any type of dry cat food, I go through about 4kg a day, tinned cat food and sachets for my elderly and fussy eaters as my stocks are running low. I will also appreciate cash donations to buy what I am short of and to cover any vets bills,” said the organisation’s Linda Weldon-Church.

Initially Linda ran the animal sanctuary, a non-profit organisation, with her late husband, David. They had relied on his salary to feed the feral cats and wild birds for the past 11 years.

Donations can be deposited in the account: Purr-fect Rescued Cats Standard Bank, Prospecton, account number 251-247-848, branch code 057-827,

The drop off points for food donations are:35 Bailey Road, Athlone Park. Contact Linda on 031-904-2548 or 072-752-0324 or 19 Tyrone Road, Padfield Park, Pinetown. Contact Lillian on 031-701-5109.
