Garden lights fundraiser for animal rescue NPO
THE magic of the festive season will be brought to life through a Christmas lights extravaganza in the garden at 680 Kingsway, Athlone Park on Friday and Saturday, 13 and 14 December.
The event is to raise funds for 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue, a non-profit organisation, which sees to the upkeep of stray and abandoned animals in underprivileged areas of Scottburgh and surrounds.
The organisation feeds 79 dogs and 40 cats a day.
Organiser, Jacqueline Smith urges the public to support the fundraiser. The garden will have a nativity scene, the little elves workshop, Father Christmas, reindeers, angels and fairies. It will be open from 6.45pm to 9.30pm. Entrance is only R20.
