21 Club all for 4 Paws
Members are reminded of the valentines dinner at RJ’s in Toti.

THE first Club 21 luncheon of the year was a noisy one.
There was no December meeting, so the members had a great deal of catching up to do.
Royal blue and orange décor was enhanced by the whimsical ‘doggie’ overlays and stuffed dogs sitting in baskets as centrepieces.
Appropriately, the speaker was new 21 Club member, Jacqueline Smith, who has recently joined forces with 4 Paws and a Tale, the brainchild of Nicky Koekemoer of Scottburgh.
This now much-publicised non-profit organization, concentrates on the welfare of rural dogs and cats in Scottburgh and Umkomaas.
Jacqueline’s talk, promoting the launch of the ‘Tale End’ charity shop in the Ipahla Centre had every member sitting up and taking notice. Her passion and energy rubbed off on everyone and the organisation, the shop and the concept love, feed, sterilise, will definitely be supported by the 21 Club.
The success of this venture will assist the NPO to extend its programme to the rural areas of Toti.

Sincere condolences are extended to members, Wendy Ward and Mardi Dovale who both lost their husbands, Keith and Michael respectively in January.
The next luncheon, a typical Valentine’s adventure, will be held on Wednesday, 26 February at Lords and Legends conference room at noon for 12.30pm. Members are reminded that confirmation of intention to attend and names of guests must be received by Lyn on 082-572-1328 or 031-903-4026 or Golda on 083-633-6338 or 031-916-7001 no later than Friday, 21 February. Guests will be accommodated if there is room.
